Trying to meet interesting creators on the web, one of the first guest I had chance to stumble on is Ershad, he is a creator, and an engineer at Gumroad . A bit about him

How did you start your journey in tech

I liked computers and found programming interesting. Later on, I pursued computer science in school and in college, got a little exposure through college programming events, and got a tech job in a company in Bangalore. There I worked mostly on Ruby on Rails and have been working on it ever since.

What stack do you use

My primary stack is Ruby on Rails. Besides that, I use JavaScript, tools from https://hashicorp.com, and I'm a fan of bash scripting and Linux based operating systems.

How do you think the future young coders have to be prepared for and adapt. What would be your answer.

IMHO, gone are the days when only our certificates matter. These days, good companies look for people with a portfolio and proven skills/experience. A few opensource projects/contributions under the belt can go a long way. Due to global internet penetration, we have more opportunities than ever now, we just have to learn the skills to get them.

Also is there a curriculum you have put up out there which can be helpful for starters. Keen to know.

I used to run a small programming school before, but the curriculum we used then is now outdated. This is not mine, but it's pretty good and up to date - https://roadmap.sh

Do connect with him.

Hope to find another interesting creator on the web soon .
